Hey blog world, Molly here! I'm 1 year old (on Saturday). My dad isn't going to be around on my actual birthday, so everyone decided to celebrate a few days earlier.
It's a pretty big deal, you know, the fact that I am turning 1. I've been alive for a whole year!!! Can you believe it?
So, what have I accomplished in my first year?
I do a pretty good puppy impersonation. I also sometimes smack my lips together and pretend
I'm a fish. My mom is always saying things to me like, "What does a cow say?" and "What does
a snake say?" I just make all different sounds and sometimes she says "Yeah, Molly!" I can also say "da da" and "ma ma," but only when I want to. I don't really know what's going on, though. I'm just little still.
I'm really good at clapping. I'm really good at shaking my head "no." I'm really good at waving bye bye. I'm really good at pulling off my shoes and socks and taking barrettes out of my hair. (Those are my favorite things to do in the car.) Sometimes, though, the socks get stuck and then I have to yell. I've also learned to climb up the stairs. My mom tells me that they are hard and steep and scary, but I don't know why she's is always right behind me. They're not that bad, mom (although I do think it's weird that they only go up).
I also really like to sing and babble. I like to play in the bathtub. My mom says I'm a good
sleeper most of the time, but I have a hard time taking naps on the weekends. I like to play games. Last Sunday in church I entertained myself for like 15 minutes with a little easter egg. Somehow, every time my mom gave it back to me, it had a new snack in it for me to find. Yum! I also like to take things out of containers and then put them back in. That's a lot of fun!
I love going to school. I kick my feet when I get to the door in the morning (with bare feet because I took my shoes and socks off in the car). I love Miss Autumn and Miss Nancy. They take good care of me. I even give them hugs sometimes in the morning when my mom hands me over. My mom keeps telling me about "summer." She says I should remember last summer, but I don't. I just hope I like school when I go back in August.
I'm really good at crawling. I don't walk, yet, and my mom tries to get me to stand and then
sneaks her hands away. That's not very nice because standing is scary. I don't like it so I usually just sit down.
I still just mostly eat baby food. I have a hard time paying attention long enough to try other food. I do like cheese, though, and bread and fishy crackers, cheerios, yogurt, puffs, macaroni and cheese, jelly beans . . . and barrettes.
For my birthday, we had a great party!! I had a Winnie the Pooh cake.
Grandpa Binggeli and Wyatt share their birthdays on the day we actually celebrated mine. Grandpa likes to play peek-a-boo on his birthday.
I got tons of new clothes! Lots of colors! Lots of skirts! Yeah for summer clothes!
My mom and dad gave me this cool dinosaur thing. It's supposed to help me walk, but it kind of made me nervous. Wyatt and Elliott liked it, though.
My mom lit my cake on fire and then Elliott blew on it. They kept telling him that he needed to help me. I can breath just fine. I don't know why he had to breath on my cake. Duh. I could have done that. I just didn't know what they were telling me to do.
Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!!!
