The Utah men's basketball team is desperately trying to get fans back. How do we know? With our season tickets this year we got a parking pass? What? A parking pass? Yes, even the people in the cheap seats who are not paying thousands to the Crimson Club got a parking pass this year. What else? Free t-shirts on "Meet the Utes" night (that's really the only reason we went tonight). What else? A coupon book for concessions . . . free popcorn, free drinks, etc.! Woo hoo. It's about time this Pac 12 money paid off and the fine folks in the upper bowl got some attention.
Unfortunately what would really bring people back to the Hunstman Center would be a few wins. However, after watching the scrimmage tonight . . . I'm not holding my breath. I will always be a good fan, but I'm also realistic. I hope I'm wrong in saying this, but don't set your bar too high for the Utes this season.
