NaBloPoMo #1

It is Halloween Night, but it is now after midnight, so NaBloPoMo has begun. Happy Halloween!
I've been making cookies for a wedding shower tomorrow. I still need to frost them, but they are done baking. I was going to watch the Alfred Hitchcock movie, "Vertigo," but it looked to serious for me (as a Hitchcock should be) and I didn't think I'd be able to follow it at this hour.

I'm a little behind on blogging, but I got to tend Elliott on Wednesday. Here is a video.

Odds and Ends

There isn't much to blog about today, so here are just a few odds and ends:
  • Willie had his first junior high choir concert last night. He and one other really tall boy comprise the the bass section in "mixed chorus." Next year he wants to try out for "concert choir." They have uniforms. The evening's finale was "Lean on Me." Good job, Willie!

  • We had a mock election in my TEAM class at Murray High today. The results: President/VP - McCain/Palin.......Governor - Huntsman.......Congressman - Matheson. We voted on a few other issues, but those three were the only ones we had time to tally. On a side note, Gideon (one of our students) got 3 votes for President and 1 for Congressman.

The End of the Season

Willie wrapped up his 4th football season today. It was a beautiful day today at Sunnyside Park. Willie's team played East. They were pretty good. At least it wasn't a shut-out. Willie's team scored 1 touchdown, but missed the extra point. East scored 6 touchdowns, I think, and missed a couple of points after. I don't really know what the score was.

It's been a less that successful season, but I think Willie does like playing football and he is always improving. Good job! Thanks for playing hard and giving me something to do on Saturdays. Sorry no playoffs this year, but I'm sure we are all looking towards basketball!!

On a side note, there was a little footballer today. That was kind of funny. And, less funny but still interesting, was a strange man in a turquoise shirt with his hand, Napoleon style. Also, Elliott was there to play!!
