I am blogging again to avoid homework. I am struggling with a class that grades us on weekly True/False quizzes about the readings. I've been doing the readings, but then I do poorly on the quizzes. This week, I tried to read, but just couldn't get through the material, so I decided to take the quiz without reading. The quiz is timed, but still allows a big window to look up answers in the book. I did that. I just got my worse score yet: 50%. Ugh. I guess I'll go back to reading the book again next week. Who gives true/false quizzes in a master's program anyway? Dumb.
In other USU school news, my elective class (mentioned in the last post) is actually kind of cool. Why? It's not related to educational research and I am learning HTML. Here is my new website:
haleybinggeli.orgfree.com. It's a work in progress, but I feel quite proud of it at the moment (although I just tried to open it in Explorer and it wouldn't work - try Mozilla).
To update things from a few posts ago:
--> James accepted the National Guard promotion and will be traveling to St. George each month. He is no longer SGT (Sergeant) Binggeli but can now be referred to as SSG (Staff Sergeant) Binggeli, although he would really like to become 2LT (2nd Lieutenant) Binggeli at some point in the nearer than further future. We'll see. He's now in the 213th FSC (Forward Support Company) instead of the 214th FSC. The 214th supported the northern Utah 145th FA (Field Artillery) and the 213th FSC supports the southern Utah 222nd FA (sometimes called the "triple deuce").
--> Baby. She is still cooking, but wriggles around quite a bit. I am finally becoming much less inconspicuous. My students are making comments. Things like:
"Mrs. Binggeli, your shirt is really getting tight. Did you shrink it?"
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"How long have you known?"
"Is that why your student teacher is here?"
"Are you going to name her after me?"
"Mrs. Binggeli, are you pregnant?"
--> House. Our neighbor's house has been broken into for the second time in a couple of months. They have decided to move. I feel really bad for them. I don't quite understand why they've been hit twice, but I am interested to see what they list their house for and how long it takes to sell. The sign went up tonight.
