Ultrasound Day #4

Here are some new pictures of our little baby girl. It's a profile. I know it's a little strange, but you can see her lips, nose, and forehead in the center of the picture. The bulge at the left is a leg. The strange growth on her forehead is supposedly a hand. We'll keep our fingers crossed that's what it is.

Everything looks good. She wriggles around a lot.

People keep asking us what her name is. Don't you think she should be the first to find out? Are there no surprises anymore? Actually, we haven't really decided on a name for sure. We're going to wait until we meet her.

Spring Break

Welcome to our nursery . . .

. . . in the corner of our bedroom

We're keeping our fingers crossed that our baby is healthy and not early, or anything like that. However, we had some time this week due to my spring break and James having some time off. So, we (although James would argue it was just my idea) decided to do some housework (although James would argue that he did most of it). The carpets are cleaned, everything is dusted, rooms are reorganized, a load went to the DI, and now this. We are ready! (Almost ready - the car seat is in the mail and should be here in the next few days. Diapers, bottles . . . yeah we don't have any of that yet. We do have a few cute outfits, though.)

5 Weeks to Go!

James is finished with his crazy schedule of capstone clinicals at IMC after this weekend. He can hopefully breath a little easier. He still has a couple of regular nursing classes to finish up and is beginning the process of applying for a license and taking the NCLEX (nursing boards). He's also embarking on that really scary uncertainty of looking for an actual nursing job. Keep your fingers crossed. I, on the other hand, am bracing for April since my student teacher is now gone and I actually have to teach 7 classes again instead of just 4. It's been a different experience being a "host teacher." I'm glad it's over, but I also appreciated the fact that I haven't brought home hardly any schoolwork in the last month or so. But alas, here we go again.
