Happy Anniversary!

I hate getting my picture taken, but this one makes us look like we're farting on Santa. And that guy in the background with the mustache . . . his name is Rick.

Today is our 4th Anniversary! James and I have been married for 4 years and known each other for a little over 5. We've each gained some weight in that time, gained a lot of stuff in our house, and gained a beautiful daughter. We drive each other crazy most days, but we still like each other most days, too. What I've learned in the last 4 years is that being married is a challenge, but once you commit to sticking it out forever, it takes some of the pressure off making mistakes. So we know its okay even when I ask James, "Do you even like me?" He says with kind of a forced sigh, "Ya." And when he asks me, "Do you like me today?" I say in a routine answer, "I like you every day."

We are pretty exciting people. To celebrate today's occasion, James gave me an alarm clock and I gave him a gift card to Sears (he likes tools). Both gifts beat last year's book shelf. For dinner, the three of us went to the Rio Grande. It was yummy and Molly was an angel.

This is my favorite new Guster song and I think it fits the 30-something married couple, that's us! Thank you for being a good husband! Here's to many more years, Jim Bob!
