My sister says I don't blog enough. I was thinking about doing a Paul Newman blog - "What we have here is a failure to communicate." But, she already took care of that.
I don't really have that much to say. Oh well. I guess she's my sister and I do what I'm told, so here are some ramblings.
Last night I made bread! I actually cleaned my kitchen BEFORE I made bread, but that was a stupid idea because by the time I took the bread out of the oven at 11:00 p.m., I didn't have any more desire to continue cleaning up the kitchen. Plus, the dishwasher was full and running, so I couldn't do much with the dishes in the sink.
Since I couldn't do anything with the dishes in the sink, I also couldn't put away all of the clean pans that get stored in the oven, back where they belong. So, they stayed on the counter.
Since I was taking photographs of my messy kitchen, I decided I might as well take some pictures of my food storage. See all the drinks? That's the food storage . . . oh, plus the 5 gallons of water. I bought that giant jug at Harmon's last week and filled it up in case the hurricane came this far inland. But . . . . I haven't figured out where to put it yet. As of right now it is still in my kitchen against the wall. You never know when the hurricane may come again.
Also, behind the loaf and a half of bread that I made (it does taste good, by the way) are misc. other carbohydrates, including two starts for some Amish bread. Does anybody want one? It's the bread that supposedly the Amish made and you let the batter ferment for 10 days before baking. Seriously, does anyone want one?
No, we don't drink that much in a week. I just buy them when they are on sale, usually on holiday weekends. They stack up until they are gone.
