We went to Costco on Friday night and came home to Molly stacking up the Costco stuff and then she laid down on top of it. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm building a future." I expected her to say, "I'm building a tower" or "I'm building a train," but you know, a future is good, too.
Jack has had the absolute worst diaper rash ever this week. It's be going on since Monday and at first I attributed it to eating a bunch of super sweet grapes at the Binggeli's and then eating a whole bowl of blueberries at my mom's on Sunday. It just keeps getting worse and worse. I felt so bad. Every diaper change was just, "owie owie owie owie." We've tried every cream, ointment, etc in our house, including some super duper wound stuff from James' work supply. Nothing seemed to clear it up. Desitin seemed to make it worse and Vaseline seemed to help the most, but still not enough. On Friday afternoon I decided to just start using what my Grandma's would suggest . . . corn starch. This, on top, of changing him every hour including once at night, has finally made a difference and his little butt is clearing up. Thank goodness.
Because of the early frost/snow on the ground the last two days, James went out and picked the rest of the tomatoes. We had one more large batch (of red ones) plus two boxes full (still green in the garage). I froze 7 more pints of tomatoes as well as a whole bunch of bell peppers. We also have a box full of a variety of squash and zucchini in our garage that I'm not sure what to do with, but we'll try to eat some of it.
This is our new favorite type of candy. We bought this big bag at Costco, but it won't last very long.
I think that's about it for interesting things this week.

We love Hi-Chews. They are made in Taiwan and Travis introduced them to us when he got home.
I too, am a Hi-chew lover.
How's the diaper rash? Nick has mixed up a bum cream at work, especially for our kids. It's made up of: Dibucaine, Zinc Oxide, and Hydrocortisone Cream. The ratio is: 1/2:1:1. If James has access to that stuff, maybe he could make something similar?
Good Luck.
