15 Months

Molly had her 15 month check-up today. Aunt Karen was tending her today and was nice enough to drive her in to the doctor and meet me. That saved me quite a bit of time, especially since I ended up staying at school until 5:30 anyway (phew!). Oh well. That's how the week before school goes, especially when we really only have 1 day to work in our classrooms.

Back to Molly . . .

Name: Molly
Age: 15 months
Height: 31.75 inches (86th percentile)
Weight: 23 lbs 2 oz (55th percentile)
Head Circumference: 48 cm (94th percentile)
Received 3 vaccinations

She passed all of the developmental questions and seemed to be doing just fine! Her ears are good. She can walk and say a few words, eats table foods (sort of), can follow simple commands, and interacts well socially. She cannot run.

Yesterday we went to an open house at the Day Care to orient the kids before they come back on Monday. I was worried that Molly wouldn't remember school and would be nervous about going, but I was totally wrong. She held out her arms and immediately wanted to go to her caretaker, Autum. Then, after playing in the toys for a while, she cried when we finally went to leave.

Good! . . . She will be fine on Monday.
Bad! . . . I guess she doesn't really need me.

Of course she needs you.

Who else will wipe up the puke when she shoves her fingers down her throat and gags herself at football games?
