Bad news: No baby yet.
Good news: I went to the doctor yesterday.
Bad news: IMC's policy is that a woman will NOT be induced for a first baby before 41 weeks unless the baby is at risk. My blood pressure did jump this week, to a whopping 120/70. Fortunately (though unfortunately) there is no risk there.
Bad news: My doctor just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in Turkey, but is leaving for a conference next week and says I could wait until next Thursday if I want her to induce or deliver or I could have one of her colleagues do it earlier in the week. The earliest they would induce me, though, is Monday.
Good news: My doctor said NOT to schedule another appointment with her, but to schedule an NST and then call about scheduling and induction.
Good news: My doctor said I had progressed quite a bit since the week before.
Good news: My doctor said she was willing to bet she would see me today.
Good news: I had a crappy night of discomfort that I thought was promising.
Good news: This morning I finally decided to call it quits at school and called my sub.
Good news: James and I were way excited about the possibility of meeting our little baby today.
Bad news: Nothing. I feel fine again and it's now 2:15 p.m. and . . . nothing.
Bad news: My doctor got my hopes up and I shouldn't have let her.
Good news: James and I went mall walking at the Ghetto Mall today, then walked over and through Costco, then back through the Ghetto Mall.
Bad news: Costco doesn't have a lot of free samples on a Wednesday afternoon.
Good news: We went to La Puente for lunch since their salsa is super mouth firing.
Good news: We went to WinCo and walked every isle.
Bad news: James has major indigestion.
Bad news: Me? Nothing.
Today is May 12th and a baby born today would share her birthday with Cousin Wyatt and Grandpa LaRon. Tomorrow is May 13th and a baby born would share her birthday with Aunt Geneil. I'm sure she would be very emotional about that (Geneil, not the baby), but that would be great! Friday is May 14th and a baby born that day would share her birthday with Uncle Dee. I don't think he would cry. Next week is pretty wide open for birthdays. There isn't another one until Annie's and Cousin Isabel's on May 25th and she (the baby) better not wait that long (don't worry, I won't let her).
